Protective Mailer Packaging Box Upgrade for MIKO AI Consumer Electronics

Protective Mailer Packaging Box Upgrade for MIKO AI Consumer Electronics

MIKO AI needed to replace packaging that was failing to hold the product securely during transit. PackCCP developed three alternative mailer box and insert concepts, produced physical samples within three days, and supported comparison with transport simulation, material hardness, adhesive performance, and cost information before the client selected direction.

00  Project Overview

MIKO AI existing packaging had a more serious problem than appearance: the internal insert did not restrain the product securely enough during transport. Poor positioning and insufficient protection increased the risk of damage before the product reached the end customer. PackCCP therefore approached the project as a packaging upgrade, comparing several structural directions around protection, presentation, user access, and cost rather than simply reproducing the previous box.

01  The Challenges

The Product Was Not Properly Locked in Place

The previous insert provided weak positioning, allowing the product too much freedom inside the package. During transportation, that movement increased the likelihood of impact and damage.

Transit Damage Was Affecting More Than Packaging

Damage during delivery did not end with a rejected carton. It directly affected the client’s end-market sales and made packaging reliability a commercial issue rather than only a production issue.

Better Protection Still Had to Control Cost

The client wanted stronger protection and a more refined packaging experience, but the upgraded structure also had to remain commercially realistic and avoid unnecessary packaging cost.

02  Our Solutions

Instead of asking the client to approve one proposed structure, we gave them three physical directions and the evidence needed to compare them.

Developing Three Different Packaging Concepts

After reviewing protection, appearance, accessibility, and cost requirements, PackCCP created three differentiated mailer box and insert solutions. Each option approached product restraint and internal layout differently, giving MIKO AI a real choice rather than forcing the project into a single predetermined structure.

Turning the Options Into Physical Samples in Three Days

The concepts were quickly converted into physical samples so the client could compare how the product sat inside the box, how securely the insert held it, and how easily the package could be opened and used. Producing tangible samples within three days shortened the decision cycle without relying only on drawings or renderings.

Comparing Performance Alongside Price

The client received more than sample photos. PackCCP also provided references from transport simulation, material hardness, adhesive performance, and full quotation information. This allowed the final packaging decision to consider protection, material behavior, usability, and cost together rather than judging the box only by appearance.

03  How We Executed the Project

Stage

What We Did

Why it Mattered

Diagnose the Failure Point

what

Reviewed the previous packaging and focused on where the insert failed to hold and protect the product during transport.

why

Kept the redesign centered on the real damage mechanism instead of simply changing the outer box.

Create Three Directions

what

Developed three packaging concepts balancing product restraint, visual presentation, accessibility, and cost.

why

Gave the client meaningful alternatives and made structural trade-offs easier to compare.

Build & Test in 3 Days

what

Produced physical samples and supplied transport simulation, material hardness, and adhesive performance references.

why

Replaced guesswork with real packaging behavior and shortened the evaluation process.

Compare Before Selection

what

Presented samples, test information, and quotation details together for final review.

why

Helped the client select a packaging direction based on protection, usability, and commercial feasibility as one decision.

04  Outcome & Client Value

Packaging Decision Backed by Physical Evidence

The client did not have to choose between three concepts by appearance alone. Physical samples, protection-related testing, and quotation data were reviewed together before the packaging direction was selected.
